There’s no better way of exploring a place than when you are food hunting. A few months back, I ended up traversing all the charming streets of Kandy in search of the elusive Kithul jaggery. Kithul is distinctive in its flavour with deep treacle-like caramel notes. One of the most popular Sri Lankan desserts that utilizes Kithul is Wattalappam, a flan made of coconut milk.
